Each of us has unique, specific knowledge not only about our own lives, but also about the times we live in and the communities we call our own. That knowledge deserves a place on the record. Putting it there begins with listening.
LV Communications focuses on open-ended interviews, using the oral history method, because there's just no substitute for giving people a quiet space, undivided attention, and an invitation to share their experience. Oral history starts with recording people's stories, but it’s also about sharing them — through writing, films, audio stories, theatrical performances, exhibits, listening parties, walking tours, and more — to build understanding, to connect with others, to develop ideas, and to help make change for the better happen.
